Milwaukee, WI, November 8th, 2019 // Milwaukee Public Schools announced that Ticket Spicket will serve as the exclusive ticket provider for MPS basketball events beginning with the 2019-20 winter sports season.
Ticket Spicket‘s online and mobile ticketing technology was selected as the preferred option for MPS after their leadership evaluated a wide variety of ticketing options.
Ticket Spicket gives students, families, and fans the ability to buy pre-sale tickets and custom season passes online. MPS will allow fans to use their smartphone to gain access at school events through a simple and secure ticket validation function.
“MPS received proposals from multiple ticketing companies and closely evaluated the strengths and features of each potential partner,” said Bobbie Kelsey, the commissioner of athletics for Milwaukee Public Schools. “Ticket Spicket checked all of the boxes for us. Their team is passionate about helping schools and improving the fan experience – and they quickly became the clear and correct choice for our school district moving forward.”
Milwaukee’s online tickets will be available at spicket.events/mps, where fans can also select from one of the 21 MPS high schools to see their specific schedules and available events. Ticket Spicket will also be providing each MPS high school with customized pro-level paper tickets for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.
“Our team is thrilled to be selected as the exclusive ticketing provider at Milwaukee Public Schools,” said Donnie Schemetti, co-founder of Ticket Spicket. “We’ve worked hard to ensure our schools are provided with the very best ticketing platform on the market since 2016 – and we look forward to helping MPS benefit from Ticket Spicket’s pro-level service for many years to come.”
Ticket Spicket is currently partnered with schools, districts, and athletic conferences in 35 states across the nation. Since their launch in 2016, they have grown to partner with some of the largest and most notable associations in the U.S. – including multi-year partnerships with Prince George’s County Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools, and the Virginia Independent Schools Athletics Association.
