Hello data!
In my current role as Ticket Spicket’s Director of Client Success (and previously, as an athletic administrator in Florida) – I love data.
Just pure information that you can make informed decisions with. With digital ticketing, a whole new world of data opens up that was never available with cash before. The options are endless!
Some examples of digital ticketing data that your platform should be making available to you:
- Want to know how many people are in your stadium?
No more counting paper tickets at the gate, you can have that answer in seconds by simply looking in your digital ticketing app. - Which days of the week create the most revenue?
Just a click of a button away! - Want to see your redemption rate?
Broken down by sport or activity for you! - Number of fans hosted in a school year?
Right in your Gameplan account! - Want to know who exactly is at your event?
There’s a list for you! - Clear payment reports with date, time, ticket types, opponent, and revenue?
You, your bookkeeper, your financial staff and auditors will all be impressed. - Want to see how those reserved seats are doing?
Couldn’t be easier with Ticket Spicket’s custom seat maps & easy templates.
The best part about everything mentioned above, is that you don’t have to go back and find gates or other information- then put all of the data together yourself. You get all of this in under a minute with Ticket Spicket.
There are things you can do to give yourself extra data as well. I highly recommend starting with ticket types. With cash, it’s basic categories, like student and adult. But with digital ticketing, you can break it down even further- for example, adult-home, adult-visitor, student-home, student-visitor, senior, etc. You’ll be able to see how many tickets were purchased for each ticket type and then you, the AD, have the ability to see which schools travel well, how many visitors are attending vs home fans, and how the crowd breaks down. This data is hugely helpful in determining which games you need an SRO for, or maybe extra, how many admin. you need, how to plan for the concession stand, etc.
You’ll be able to see how many tickets were purchased for each digital ticket type and then you (as an athletic director or event administrator) have the ability to see which opposing schools travel well, how many visiting supporters are attending events vs. home fans, and how the crowd breaks down as a whole. This data is hugely helpful in determining which games you need a school resource officer (SRO), how many volunteers / event staff you’ll need, how to plan for the concessions stand that evening, etc.
These are just the beginning touch points on how digital ticketing can make you a more informed school administrator and better event organizer.
These are just the beginning touching points on how digital ticketing can make you a more informed athletic director. There are too many ways digital ticketing has increased event data to list them all here. But the idea is simple, with digital ticketing you can customize your options and your data to what works best for your school. Take control of your events with digital ticketing.
